Int'l volunteers in Egaonomori, Kurogi by Sansonjuku

This is the blog of Int'l volunteers in Egaonomorim Kurogi by Sansonjuku.

Today we had 52 volunteers and separated into four groups to work for four different families.I worked with 18 volunteers for a man living in Kamimatsuo area, whose tea field was heavily damaged by the avalanche of rocks and earth on July 14th.In this tea field,a mountain of earth and sand was obstructing the watercourse surrounding the field, but in the end we completely removed the mountain to make the ground flat and for the buried tea trees to come out of the soil, and restored the stream. It means we finished almost all the things to do about his tea field.Otsukaresamadeshita!
And today was the day for the evacuees in Egaonomori to start moving to their temporary houses. Two families of the four have completely left here today.Although it was for evacuation,we had happily lived together for more than one month. To be honest I miss them, but I hope the new life will be good for them.
